The Problem:

In a prolonged domestic situation or far-off pacific island, a steady supply of lithium batteries is not guaranteed. Supply chains have the potential to become contested, or prohibitively expensive.

Our Solution:

The UHPS is a rechargeable Night Vision battery pack. It offers USB-C recharging in place of expensive single-use lithium batteries. By utilizing large, rechargeable cells the UHPS boasts a massive increase in runtime over the conventional AA and CR123 battery packs: over 300 hours of dual tube runtime (compared to the 80 hours of a traditional pack.) The UHPS also features a supplementary USB-A output for clip on thermal devices and other gadgets.

Housing Construction

Additively manufactured utilizing ultra durable Engineering-Grade Nylon Carbon Fiber, the UHPS is finished in ultra-durable Cerakote for industry leading environmental protection and has been tested to standards equivalent with IP65. The housing also boasts two tie-down loops on either side, for rock-solid mounting. This manufacturing method enables us to offer a rugged, lightweight housing.

Electronics

The UHPS integrates a 13,000 mAh, 48 Wh power system designed to provide extended runtime for night vision and peripheral equipment. Power is delivered to Night Vision Devices through a regulated Fischer 4-pin interface, while an integrated USB-A port supports auxiliary peripherals and accessories, such as thermal clip-ons and mission recorders. The UHPS has been tested in ideal conditions to provide upwards of 300 hours of battery life for a dual-tube setup (compare to 80 hours from an L3 Harris AA pack.)

For recharging, the UHPS features USB-C charging and has been successfully tested with both portable power banks and solar charging systems, providing flexible recharge options for field use and extended-duration operation.
